Bruce Power says a plan to ship radioactive equipment through the Great Lakes to Sweden makes environmental sense. A company spokesman says the amount of radiation in question is well below recommended guidelines. But opponents of the plan claim shipping nuclear waste on the Great Lakes could result in nuclear catastrophe. Bruce Power still has to receive approval of the plan from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
